Our paper entitled “Surrogate-model-based design optimization of multiple locally resonant metamaterials for low-frequency vibration reduction” has been officially published in Advances in Mechanical Engineering.
This study presents a surrogate-model-based optimization framework for designing multiple locally resonant metamaterials to achieve low-frequency broadband vibration reduction.

First-year students from Changwon Science High School visited NAVL as part of the 2026 Field Research Program in collaboration with Gyeongsang National University.

Our collaborative paper entitled “Multi-objective optimization of multilayer graphene-sheet NEMS microphones using NSGA-III and Mahalanobis distance” has been officially published in Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences.
This work was made possible through the combination of Milad’s expertise in nonlinear NEMS analysis and Jaewan’s optimization capabilities.

Kwangjin, Taegyun, and Minjae participated in the 2026 Winter School on Elastic/Acoustic Metamaterials, hosted by the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers and held at Dongguk University from February 23 to 26, 2026.
Through this program, they learned the fundamental concepts of elastic waves, acoustic metamaterials, and effective material properties.
